I have learned so much in the past year and have grown immensely through my blogging journey. I am celebrating this momentous occasion by upgrading my website from EmmaNoProblema.WordPress.com to EmmaNoProblema.com. Yay! I’m also taking this opportunity to reflect on the past year, I’ve learned a lot and am looking forward to what’s to come.
“Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion.”
I was interviewed live on KOA NewsRadio with Mandy Connell to discuss my blog What is Your Happy Hour Type? Take the Quiz. Listen to the full interview below.
Most popular blog
My most successful post was Colorado wedding venues, recommended by real brides. I asked friends who had gotten married in Colorado for a description of their wedding venue and if they’d recommend it to another couple. This received a lot of attention from potential brides who were thrilled to see real photos and real testimonials – rather than paid advertisements.
I didn’t post as frequently as I would have liked to. I aimed to post at least one blog a week, instead, I averaged about two a month. My goal for the upcoming year is to post two blogs a week!
Blog that was the most fun to write
I LOVED writing 3 days visiting Santa Fe, Taos and the Great Sand Dunes. My husband and I went on a three-day-weekend trip to New Mexico and did every activity we could possibly fit into our schedule. We relied heavily on my favorite website, Atlas Obscura, for tips, and we just went for it. Blogging is really pushing me out of my comfort zone and making me try things I otherwise never would.
One piece of advice that I’d give to someone who is new to blogging
Know your niche. Pick something you adore, something that fires you up, and explore every single aspect of it. Let that passion fuel you and the rest will fall into place.
