Oh, hello there!
I’ve been stoked about writing this blog for an embarrassingly long time because even though I’m not a big fan of burgers, but I am obsessed with TAG Burger Bar in Denver. The atmosphere is great, the prices are reasonable and the food is to die for. I would even go as far as saying that TAG Burger Bar has the best burgers in Denver.
TAG Burger Bar Location
This is what I proudly refer to as an Only in Colorado restaurant. You can only get TAG Burgers at this location, in this state. TAG Burger Bar is located at 1222 Madison St, Denver, CO 80206. Parking is a breeze. There’s a small lot and ample street parking.
Best Burgers in Denver
While I want to give the credit to my mad photography skills, the reality is that the food here is just really good and photographs really well. Pictured below from top to bottom is the Green Chili Fries, The Truffle Shuffle burger and the TAG American Slam burger. I always order the Truffle Shuffle because I adore their truffle aioli and parmesan truffle chips. My husband has tried the Andrew Jackson burger as well and describes it as “pure masculinity.” Chicks can order it too, it’s just M A S S I V E.
Casual Sit Down Restaurant
This place is laid back. We regularly attend in our jeans and t-shirts and feel right at home. They have a great little patio that I encourage taking advantage of while it’s still patio weather in Colorado. I run cold, as does this restaurant. Consider bringing a light jacket. The bar is in the center of the restaurant and as it gets later, the bar gets more crowded. Regardless, this is a family friendly establishment. I once heard a kid here yell, “Bring on the mac and cheese!” I’ve never had it, but I bet the mac is rad here, too.
TAG Restaurant Group
While there is only one TAG Burger Bar, the chef, Troy Guard, has several other amazing restaurants across Colorado including Hashtag (breakfast joint), TAG (Continental Social Food), Guard and Grace (steakhouse), FNG (comfort food), Los Chingones (Mexican), Bubu (build your own bowls) and Mister Tuna (Hawaiian). I overheard a customer at TAG Burger Bar telling his friend that this is Troy Guard’s least favorite of his restaurants, and that it is in some ways the “red-headed step-child” of his restaurants. If that’s the case, then those other children must be pretty dang impressive.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how amazing do those burgers look? I am craving one so bad right now! Add TAG Burger Bar to your list of restaurants to visit while in Denver.
