Have you noticed the increase in street art in downtown Denver? It seems every bar and restaurant in the city is opening up their walls to talented artists to make their buildings into works of art.
I will add to this post as I come across new murals. Do you have a piece you think I should capture for this blog? Write a comment below or send me a photo of your favorite mural and I will add it to the list.
I try to include the location for each photo so you can go see the art for yourself.
RiNo District Street Art
Most of the city’s best street art is located in the RiNo District. In September 2017, Crush took over the streets of Denver and street artists covered walls and alleyways with beautiful murals. A large portion of the street art is located between 27th and 31st, Walnut and Larimer Street. To take a quick 30 minute walking tour of the street art, park at 27th and Walnut and walk northeast towards 28th. Weave in and out of the alleyways to capture all of the hidden murals. Turn back at 32nd and Larimer and check out the many murals of Larimer Street.
About the Artists
Denver street art was created by artists across the globe. I did my best to tag the artists associated with each piece, but am missing a few. If you recognize a piece, please let me know by commenting below and I will be sure to give credit where credit is due. To see more work by these artists, visit http://crushwalls.org/2017-artists.
I love how street artists are taking their talents to the alleyways and painting our city with gorgeous murals. What do you think of the street art? Do you have a favorite?
